The manicous had their very first outdoor adventure this afternoon, and they were not very impressed. "Put us back in our cage!" they screeched, and climbed up Chas and Sam's legs with their sharp little claws. Buddy and Chicken are doing really well, playing and eating and even lapping water and milk, but Stinky is still not as strong as her siblings. She is also a loner sometimes, which is not a good sign. They are best off when they sleep together in a tight ball of long tails and long toes, and keep each other warm.

That was this afternoon. I meant to continue later, so...

Stinky died a little while ago. I found her curled up near to Buddy and Chicken when I went to give them their last feed. I hope that Buddy and Chicken will continue to thrive, it's been A LOT OF WORK looking after them y'know, for them to just go and DIE like that.

We are all, the whole family including two manicous who WILL NOT DIE, going to Brasso Seco tomorrow morning. I can't do links here, but you can put "Brasso Seco" in the little search box on this site and you will not be disappointed. I will take lots of pictures. Hope everyone's weekend is going well and all your pets are fine!

Alas, poor stinky, I knew her well. Or was that Yorick?

That's too bad about Stinky. But I'm glad the others are seemingly doing well.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

That bites--after all that effort to have one die. They are so funny looking.

Thank you, my friends, for your kind messages of condolence! Stinky is indeed pooping in the great brasierre in the sky. But chicken and buddy are doing great, and have discovered their favorite food: WORMS!! More tomorrow!
