I'm sure there WERE other highlights... Oh yes! We got a huge-normorous TV. It is, like, the largest thing in the house.
I'm enjoying the peace and quiet, as the boys and Sean sit and gaze adoringly at Top Gear. How many days in a row do you think they will veg out on the sofa, before they get bored?
This website was invented many years ago, when the author kept coming across interesting things in pockets whilst doing laundry. Like small, terrified reptiles. Blogging about raising children in the rainforest, moving them to the UK and watching them leave home one by one to have their own adventures has gradually been replaced by a return to grownup life for their mother, Nan Sheppard, who is an anthropologist, writer and public international law consultant.

Bored? With 'Top Gear'? I think not!!
Hubby has a ginormous tv. Now he wants a high def plasma. Not happening.
And now, Sean and Sam have gone out to, "um, have a ride, muttermutter PS2 muttermutter"...
That won't be boring either! I'll just wait till the excitement dies down. It looks like a rainy weekend coming up, so vegging out in front of the TV will be a good thing.
Although, playing chess and curling up with a book used to be a good thing....
Getting to see that made my day!
The nostrils- it's a boy thing, right? As for TV- 3 1/2 years without one= heavenly.
What a loverly nostril! HEH!
And you know with boys... it's anybodies guess how many days it will take. I guess it depends on what's on the boob-tube. ;-)
AAAACCKKKK!!
What a Ghastly sight!
heheheheh
Hi Nan
Great blog! Lovely nostrils. Are they Chas's? Enjoy the TV-watching.
and to think not a bogger in sight lol.
Bored? boys? tv? big-screen tv? top gear? as in James, Richard and
Jeremy (and his sarcastic nature) NEVAH!!!!!
A childhood friend of mine turned me onto the adjective "gihugic" when we were in high school, back in the early 80s. It's common now, relatively speaking, but at the time, I was sure he had coined it.
Anyway, what is the make/model of your gihugic tv?
Stu, it's 37 inches HD , LG, who knows what!!
And we aren't bored with Top Gear, yet!
