This website was invented many years ago, when the author kept coming across interesting things in pockets whilst doing laundry. Like small, terrified reptiles. Blogging about raising children in the rainforest, moving them to the UK and watching them leave home one by one to have their own adventures has gradually been replaced by a return to grownup life for their mother, Nan Sheppard, who is an anthropologist, writer and public international law consultant.

I hesitate to ask what an oyster card is. The ideas running through my mind are nearly terrifying.
Oyster card: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oyster_card
You get a credit-card type card, and top money up onto it. The turnstiles all over london underground and the buses etc take money off as you go through, speeding up your travel. It's pretty cool.
Seeing that I know all your children are boys the hair clip makes me kinda curious
Wait a minute! Wine cork??? And "1 nut"? Nut as in grows on trees? Nut as in goes on the end of a bolt? Any OTHER kind of nut - I don't even want to contemplate.
Oh. Yes. The 'Hair Clip'. ?????
Ew--crunchy hankies! That's a lot of candy these days;) And a little deer?
Thank goodness for string--that can help you in a bind.
Gad zooks! I thought I threw away that tiny skittles set! It's out to haunt us... "The Curse of the Tiny Skittles Set". Spooky!
you did! they were in my pocket before that :)
and one of max's friends was here today, saying "hey, where's the tiny stuff from the red crackers?" i went temporarily deaf!
