Things We've Found In Pockets

It's the holidays! And, for many of you, it's Summer! and what does this mean? Many Things in Pockets. Wacky Mommy and I have had an ongoing tally: She's found a rusty nail, a green pin shaped like a bicycle, a guitar pick. I've found plenty of sand, shells, snack wrappers, cookies (eew), and some money (any money found in pockets areound here is legally mine!) A friend found some gum, and opted to toss the pants out BEFORE putting them in the wash. Very wise. Though she could have tried the old peanut butter trick for gum removal. Depends on the shorts, I guess!

What have you found in pockets this holidays, folks? We are longing to hear! Leave your list in comments.

Unfortunately, not as much as I normally would this time of year because it's been raining for 30 days straight!!!

An ipod shuffle was the most distressing find to date. Gumballs, a screw, bouncy ball and of course a rock:)

Oh gee... nothing that exciting. Plenty of folded up papers AFTER it was washed and all the ink had disappeared, and probably about 75 cents in change.
OH! And my daughters name badge for her car hopping job at Sonic. Good and clean. ;-)

I have not found anything in pockets yet, but my son, Kyle informed me that you can wash new clothes without taking the stickers off, because they will come off in the dryer anyway!! LOL!!

My son does laundry because I'm afeared of the basement. I clean out my own pockets first though.

I seem to have a habit of leaving pens in my pockets, from time to time. And money. SWMBO has gotten to the point where she can tell the difference from the sound they make in the washing machine.

Did the ipod shuffle go thru the laundry? Ouch. I found a small spiral notebook -- went thru the washer and dryer. Pages were shredded but spiral survived. My son got indignant when he saw it -- "That was mine!" Too late.

Dear Lord. Yesterday it was a gooey Starbucks candy and wrapper (that luckily didn't go through dryer, but were found at bottom of washer); today it was an empty pack of kleenex. Contents were all over the fleece jacket and pants in wash. Call it: Things I Wish I Had Found In Pockets Before the Water Did.
