England is warm and sunny! (I TOLD you we'd bring the sun!) We have been welcomed into the bosom of wonderful family, who are doing everything they can to help us out and make things easier. We are staying at my uncle Pat's house, where there are enough bedrooms to house several more families and this weekend is the annual barbecue! Ailis is currently unemployed, which I love! The boys are so happy to have a favorite aunty on call. Don't worry Ailis, you'll get a job soon... Dan picked us up at the airport, for which I will be eternally grateful. Thanks for braving the rush hour Dan!
There is SO MUCH to do and think about. Everything is different. Sometimes I just want to say "AAAARGH!" But, all is well. Really well. The boys are having a blast, rushing around in their shorts in the sun, meeting cousins and friends, going into town, picking blackberries and strawberries off of bushes on walks, and saying "IT'S NOT BEDTIME, THE SUN IS STILL UUUUUP!"
When they've run about in the sun enough to get sweaty, they plunge into the pool and learn the true meaning of cold. Brrrrrr!
I have to rush off now and get rail cards and whatnot...
When they've run about in the sun enough to get sweaty, they plunge into the pool and learn the true meaning of cold. Brrrrrr!

Thank you for your encouragement and positive vibes, my friends! It's good to have backup, of all kinds!
Love and sunshine!

Hello, my dear, and welcome "home". I've been thinking of you, and hope you're settling in nicely back in "Jolly Old"!!
I've been away for a time, helping out a friend in crisis-- but am now back, and desperately trying to prepare for school, and our new care-giver, who arrives next Monday.
Am shovelling out the household (sometimes I think just setting FIRE to it would be the most effective method), and painting the laundry room, which has been the bane of my existence since we moved here!!
I am (shamefully) not on facebook, but will attempt to rectify this asap... And I should give you my SKYPE address, so we can chat!
Sorry I've been so woefully out-of-touch over the past few months-- I hope to return to the blog-o-sphere with tales of academic angst and classroom chaos SOON!
Love to you all-- CGF xoxox
ps. When you start knitting, LET ME KNOW! I have websites... I have patterns... Oh, this will be FUN...
Love and Sunshine to you too, my girl. You and yours.
Yay! Sun!!!! We had an awful rainy week but it seems to be clearing up again. Yay! I hope summer lasts long... I have been hearing rumours of a warm September. We shall see. Love to you and the boys!
Oh, wow! Love the cake! How neat! And being able to say you brought the sunshine to England is a very, VERY big deal! Congrats on that as well!
You bring the sunshine wherever you go. I, however, am in the path of a hurricane. Big one too.
Keep safe witchypoo...Bill looks like he is losing a little steam..will keep sending you positive vibes.
And P.S. people are still phoning me to say how amazing Nan's cake was! I just sent her some photos of the cake all done up and looking pretty for the wedding so hopefully she will add them soon - in between the airshows and the apple cricket they have been enjoying!
i think Kahlil just realized you guys are really gone when your Mom & Dad came to Brasso Seco without a little boy in tow...he was sad! glad to hear there is sun and love on the other side as well!!
Sunny in England? Well done, Nan!
I bet you're really adjusting to the later hours--I forget about how when I go south the days get so short!
England's about at the same latitude (or is it longitude?) as Wisconsin.
Glad you've got loved ones on every side helping you settle in.
Love and Sunshine to you, too! enJOY your day!
