The Boys Take A Meeeeelion Photos...

The boys rush out with the camera - a shockproof, waterproof Olympus Toughthat I totally recommend - and take a meeeeelion pictures and videos of themselves. They set up Lego stop-action shorts, jump off of things and then watch themselves in reverse, act out Jedi stunts, make silly faces... And then I try to upload photos from the camera and it takes ages, and I yell "WHAT IS ALL THIS CRAP ON THE CAMERA?!" But actually, many of their pictures (maybe one out of 12,857?) are classics.

They know all of the camera's special features, and have way more patience than I do, sitting in the cold and taking ninety-nine high-speed ramping photos. Their underwater pictures are classics, too.

I think I'll stop yelling at them. Maybe they are destined to be famous film producers? What they really need is a program for editing their videos, for cutting, reversing and so on. Any suggestions?

Actually, there's a smart bit of software that comes with a Mac - called iMovie. It. Is. Great. And it comes with - it's not something you must add.

Aaah, you Mac people! I'm not Mac or PC committed, actually, I use both with equal bafflement. But THIS computer is a Dell PC. Maybe it does have a video editing thing? I will search. Who knows?

Sorry it is a late comment... but now that I have nothing to do and it is too hot outside (sorry for those of you who are cold!) I can sit and read all the entries I have missed over the month. I agree that a Mac would be best as you get iLfe included, which has everything you need. However I do know your plight, I have recently bought some creative software from Serif which did not cost the earth (as I did not have the funds for Photoshop). I got mine from PC World, but it you research it on Amazon you could get a good deal. Serif creative software are just as good (some times better) as your Adobe software. I found it easy to use they sell books as well if you need help. Also there helpline is well very helpful. I might have a look for you if I can tear myself away from the gorgeous Barbadian sun!! (Sorry again for you Winter folk - however I did my waiting for this moment - and I AM on holiday!)
