This website was invented many years ago, when the author kept coming across interesting things in pockets whilst doing laundry. Like small, terrified reptiles. Blogging about raising children in the rainforest, moving them to the UK and watching them leave home one by one to have their own adventures has gradually been replaced by a return to grownup life for their mother, Nan Sheppard, who is an anthropologist, writer and public international law consultant.

Our parents may not have had internet porn, but they had plenty of porn to deal with. Hubby tells great stories about Playboy stashes under the bed. I had a stack of erotica that I hid from mom and dad.
And we keep our computer in a central location so the kids can use it in front of everyone. No "study" or "office" or "bedroom" computers. Just one all-access point in the kitchen!
D's assistant's mom is a social worker who told D about teenaged boys needing Viagra because "normal" looking women don't do it for them after so much exposure to porn. SCARY!
SO SAD!
